in the works right now:
+ going to san francisco
in late february to custom paint a room at the hotel
des arts in collaboration with Tom Greenwood. if it winds up looking half
as good as it does in the brains, it should be a mighty fine room to lay one's
hat or to lose one's poo.
+ i will be attending and photographing the noise pop SF festival. there's a photo
show of noise pop archives at bottom of the hill opening feb 20th.
+ after the success of the By The People For The People
show i curated in LA, i've started booking a tour for (what is now called) Alone
In This Together to SF, portland, vancouver, montreal, new york, philadelphia,
and your living room.
+ travelling to portland, oregon to work with j.o.m.f (jackie o motherfucker)
on their forthcoming record to make album art, design & photographs.
+ also in portland, i will be editting some 15-year old video footage with master
genius, mike savage.
+ while in oregon at some point i hope to be doing oyster shooters from a hottub
with a coastal view. it doesn't even have to be right at sunset or anything, but
the oysters are key.
+ photographing a series of artists' studios. some of the series were published
recently in the Drama Magazine #4, viewed here, but
the project continues out west and beyond.
+ keep an eye out for features in RE:Up, XLR8R and Hit It or Quit It magazines.
+ Vice magazine featured my blinged out baby t-shirt on a doggy (!) as an ad for
their store. lookit.
+ making the lovliest t-shirt
of a tree for brodeo
+ making a t-shirt design for imperfectarticles
out of chicago.
+ contributing to a travelling self-portrait book organized by anthony skirvin.
+ there's a tsunami relief benefit art show that melanie bianca (ex- XLR8R) is
organizing. please attend. more info soon.
+ Rockpile magazine's doing a contributors' art show in tribeca April 15th. you've
been warned.
+ i've been looking forward to the drawing brunches that were happening here in
williamsburg, and have been on a brief hiatus. a small, rotaing group of us would
get together under the auspicious moniker, Violence Grows to pass drawings around,
gossip like we're a knitting circle, eat egg and vodka-based breakfast-type fare
and listen to records. they were the kind of brunches that could easily consume
an entire day and we're all standing by, Kayrock and Wolfy. let's do this.
+ i promise to be playing records again soon somewhere near you. in the meantime, please trade mixtapes with me!
+ ask me about the petition i started.
+ there's a wall somewhere that needs to be painted.
+ thinking about heading back to europe to make more photogroaphs with scott herren.
+ according to this survey, i act 31 and should live in 1968. i am an A- personality with linguistic intelligence, my porn name is Nasty Thong and my stripper name is Cleopatra.
